You will beat the GT like nothing.
When my 93' had hooker shorties, LM1 exhaust 2.73 gears (EWWW) and tune i beat my friends 07' Mustang GT by about 2 cars from a 50-110 roll.
Now that i have my Yank, and 3.73 gears im looking forward to RAPING his mustang now.

I would start with catback exhaust/CAI
I had shorty headers already (ditching them soon though) so I just moved onto 3.73 gears and 3600 stall. Tranny took a dump in mine so bought a nice new Performabuilt Level 2 tranny
These guys have all taken care of you. Just read their lists and the difference of your car now to all of those bolt-on's done will be a NIGHT AND DAY difference

the only stangs that will give you a hard time will be MACH1 and the COBRA
Not trying to say Mach1's are not quick but for what they are rated I was dead even with my buddy's and was quite supprised at it. It was me with CAI, Cutout and 3000 stall and 2.73's. Him was O/R H-pipe, spintech mufflers, and 4.10's.
Anyways, OP you will have no problem with a GT stock or modded.
