I ran a 180 dry shot on a stock tune for about 2 years and the motor didn't give up til around 150k miles

damm sounds like a 125 will be safe for me to run then...


Anyone have time's of a stock LT1 w/ 100 or 125 shot in the 1/8th?
Also if so post more time of stock LT1 w/ 100 or 125 shot in the 1/4

My car lived 2 1/2 yrs on 125 then we went up to 200. I lived another year on the 200. It is the car that MADMAN is talking about. It held the stock internal lt1 record for a long time 10.86 @ 120. Hell it may still be the record, Im not sure. As for the performance gains, how bout 13.60's on motor and 10. 86 on the gas. Dont bracket race your car on nitrous and you will be fine.

that car is a 355 not a 350...the one in the link. I know a friend that has a 97 SS with upgraded clutch,lightweight flywheel,lt's,alum.driveshaft,ZEX Dry 100 shot. On MT ET streets first and only pass. went 7.97 in the 1/8th. I don't know 60 ft or trap speed.

never recommended it just stated I did it

why wouldn't I be proud? it's a testament to the LT1s strength (and richness of stock tune) not neccessarily my good judgement, but oh well it went through hell and back then got a cam swap and finally gave out this jan

would need to change the plugs every other month or so though and when I tore apart the motor the pistons all looked perfect still, only problem was the rod bolts stretched on one rod and the bearing got chewed up

Which Nitrous kit do you guys recomend for a 355 LT1 with forged pistons & rods stock crank, 847 cam, lt's, home ported heads & intake, m6, S60 rear?
And which kit is better wet or dry I'm thinking ZEX 125 wet kit for simplicity and safety?
