You do realize the LT1 was also used in the b-bodies right?
Think cop cars later turned taxis, I can assure you a LOT of those have more miles than that before retirement. I have a 227K mile Roadmaster wagon in my driveway, engine is still fine, compression is good yet.

doesnt seem like too much.
Had plenty of cars personally eclipse 300K.
Alot of cars dont cause people dont take care of their ****.
Ive seen these motors with 150K pulled and you can still see the cross hatching in the cylinders. I dont see why with proper maintenance, these things couldnt go half a million.

I dunno about easily. 300k miles is a LOT for any car. That's a real rarity. I'd be willing to bet not one of us in here has known personally of an LT1 car with that many miles.

an Fbody transam is going to see way harder miles then that B-body is going to see. With that being said, i think the milage for that car is very impressive.

you have to take in to account the type of person that drives a LT1 transam as opposed to the type of person who drives a b-body LT1.

I have also seen posts from a handful of people in the b-body forums that claim to have well over 300K miles on the original stuff.
