You also have to be careful with milling your heads down a lot. On my AFR 227's the intake valves are down below the deck surface already, and mine are 65cc. Milling the heads would bring the valves down even further potentially causing some piston to valve clearance issues, especially with a huge cam that you'll need to run.
As for Bret Bauer, he gets a bad rap, but he knows his ****. He speaks his mind and gets flamed for it and banned for it, but if you want to get a hold of him, go on hardcorels1.com . I met him a few weeks ago and he is super cool. He just calls people out when they produce junk out of their so-called shops that sponsor on here.
As for the rpm issue on the 355 with these comp AFR 227's. The factory pcm only lives to 7000rpm. I hope you have thought about a stand alone EFI system. They are not cheap at all.
