just looking for oponions on both companies.... Lloyde Elliot and Avanced Induction... cant decide who to go with.... Ai offers everything from their site to really make a complete long block.... LE just does heads and cam... but i was told he will work with you to help you choose parts and stuff... this is gonna be my first build and im not to sure about parts matching and what now... not very experienced in the engine dept... but im gonna learn so any help is greatly appreciated....
Those two or others know how to do what your looking for. Just make sure you can get some past proven results or recommondations that you can trust. Hell you could call Lloyd for his thoughs and buy your stuff somewhere else if you want, he's a good guy and wouldn't care. He's very helpfull.

There have been 3 LE vs. AI threads in the past couple days, and all have ended up in pissing contests and name-calling. If you had half a mind to use the search feature, you would know that both companies provide similar products and services with similar gains and benefits. There is no clear decisive winner here.
ok... its not really a vs thread.. but i understand what you guys are saying... i know they products are the same.. iv just heard stories about AI having bad customer service... just wondering if it was true... if it gets locked it gets locked... but just looking for people input on the subject...

There is only one way for you to verify that theory. Call both. There are also others than AI and LE. I called around to MANY different head porters when I was looking. They are both proven comapanies, now its time for YOU to base your OWN opinion on who you would like to go with. Goodluck with your decision.
AI does not provide bad customer service (and neither does Lloyd for that matter). They answered my emails promptly, and always follow up with whatever questions you have (even posting in threads with results - you'll see my track results a few threads down).

yea sorry about that... just thought you were like lock this thread for no reason... i havent been on here in a while and had no idea there was that many threads about it....
LOL! I love it!!!! Both are great companies, talk to both then decide, thats what I did and went with LE in the end. My car is slow, but still fast enough for what it is.

He's not bieng a dick. This same thread gets strated ALL THE TIME.
I want to start a thread with people posting thier track times with AI and LE H/C packages based on stock heads, but already know what a can of worms that i will be opening. If people could just stay on topic, post the facts, and possbly answer some questions about thier combo, the threads would not fail. BUT everyone has to try and prove that (insert thier head porters name here) is better then everybody else.
I do have to stick up for the OP with one thing. The search function does not work the greatest when looking for a specific set up. Type in ai200cc and you get 7 results. Type in ai200 and you get 13. I even tried the older ai190 and got one post. There are countless LE2 posts though.
You cant go wrong with either combo/company.

I have nothing but good experiences with AI.
Phil and Ron were always able to make time to chat on the phone for a while about my combo and thier reccomendations. Sometimes Ron wouldn't even be at the shop and he'd take the time to answer my questions. They were both very informative with some interesting facts that were more general tech than bieng combo specific.
I can not give any first hand info about LE's customer service, but from what Ive read in other people's posts and LE's (nightrain66?), he also has great customer service.
Again, you cant go wrong either way.

Are you planning on staying with stock CI, or building a stroker? Keep in mind that whatever set up you go with, it is going to take a properly set up suspension, strong rear with the proper gears, and sticky tire to be able to run a mid to low 11s with a 6 speed. (it will take all the same things with a stalled auto too, but they seem to have less issues getting a good 60ft).

before that.... what do you want to do with the car, whats the set-up, what goals, where to you want to go? Need to know where you want to go before anyone can tell you how to get there..... If its nothing radical I don't see why you can't find someone local to help you do what you need to
