Stock crank, stock rods, ARP rod bolts, good forged blower piston, baby cam, ported and polished stock castings, Ported intake, D1sc with 10PSI. Would be fairly cheap and get you to that 500 HP mark.

"super" easy as long as you call $10,000 a decent budget . How, look at my signature and you'll be close to 600 hp.

Here's my setup:

383 Stroker : SRP -31 dish pistons with eagle 4340 crank 5.75 oliver rods and top of the line oil rings. ARP bearings all around. 9:1 compression.

AFR 195 CC heads along with LT4 intake, 60 lbs injectors and a good fuel pump.

Vortech supercharger/Intercooler with 12 lbs of boost ($5000 new) .

Long tubes headers is a plus with ory.

And you're on the 600s .

Good luck. No NITROUSE/BULLSHIT , boost it and let it whistle ...

What cam?

Just curious, why only 12lbs if you went through all the trouble of high end forged parts and 9:1 compression??

Force feed that sucker and break 700!

9:1 cpmpression is good up till 15 lbs of boost, I'm not interested in more boost to be honest with you, I'm not a drag guy and it's impossible to use over 450-500 HP on the street in my opinion (Unless you live in Germany), so basically all the extra hp I got are numbers that are being "wasted" and never will be used.
I'm using a custom Cam Motion but thinking to go with a different cam very soon. I got 224/230 , 580/580 on 114 LSA which works perfect with 9.25:1 compression. More than 15 lbs of boost will require at least 8:9 compression or so.

You can keep the stock heads/cam(lt4 springs) and go with a turbo kit, times in my sig on the stock heads/cam/intake/tb. If I did it again and only wanted 500rwhp I'd just do stock rods, speedpro pistons, and all stock heads/cam again. Car is very driveable, simple, and was easy to tune. Tuning is the most important thing when it comes to forced induction!

You and dragframe's builds made me think about FI.
Im glad you joined in, and Ive already got in contact with RealQuick, Im just waiting to here back from him.

If you wanted 500whp, would you still run the T76?

What'd you use for tuning?

stock pcm, 1 bar with PE on that setup, when I put heads/cam on the motor next spring I went to a 2 bar setup, using tunercat to tune it.

You can get away with a 70, but I'd just do a 76 so plenty of room to upgrade if you wanted.

When you say 1 bar Im assuming thats thats the stock MAF, but what is PE?

Id have to switch to OBDI to run tunercats right?

Kinda new to the Lt1 tuning thing, Personally when it comes to the tuning aspect I would much rather have it farmed out and performed by one of the good LT1 tuners liek Ed wright. I just dont have enough knowledge in the area to feel safe about it.

That is something I wouldnt mind spending money on.
I would install whatever tuning stuff he needs and trailer it to him, or do these guys not tune stuff like this.
