OBDI or OBDII computer
OBDI or OBDII computer I have a 94 Camaro, before you answer, the previous own changed it to a LT1 drive train. The block serial number is a 95, and it has AL heads, is there a number someplace on the computer to check and see if its OBDI or II? The data port inside is a OBDII which would go along with the 95 year model, OBDI with II contector, but i don't want to take anything for granted before i order my tuner cables and kit...that guy did a number on this car so who knows where he got everything. Is the outside different or a serial number on it sompelace?

I don't know of any numbers to designate a OBD1 or OBD2 PCM's, but I'd like to know if there is one as well.
One way to test would be to hook up a OBD2 scanner and see if you can read codes. If not check the cigar fuse. If you still can't pull codes, get a hold of a OBD1 scanner and do this:

I don't know for sure but I believe I have heard that '96 F-bodies had an OBD-I port with OBDII PCM, b/c this the akward transition interface...Is there any possible way the donor was from this yr?? Keep in mind '96 GM cars were produced in August of '95-...

You heard wrong. What you probably mean is 95s were OBD-I with an OBD-II shaped DLC. The OP had all the correct info.

Verdad Gallardo I looked all over that thing and there isn't a number on it. It did have "Delco electonics" on one side. I'm guessing its a remanufatured computer, there was no part number on it so i don't know how to figure OBDI or II
It should be an OBD I car. Only a few manufacturers participated in early change-overs to OBD II (1996 to date). A few honda models snuck out as OBD II cars in late 1995. As a rule though, its 1995 and older for OBD I. OBD-0 as its sometimes called was a 1991 and earlier type thing.
Also, i just noticed that the car is a 1994 chassis. Usually the motor swapped in must be of the same vintage as the chassis to avoid a PITA wiring issue. That said they do make painless style wiring harnesses for I-II conversions. But I still say its OBD I considering they only made the LT1 OBD-II for a year.
I'm not sure what the LT1 crank sensor looks like, since I've rebuilt the motor, i'm pretty sure it doesn't have a crank sensor, just a optispark. But again i don't know what it looks like. I'll have to cral under my 96 TA and look at the crank area to get an idea what one looks like.
