IMO for street use and mild cars, and eaton will be fine, and would live a lot longer than a stock unit. However a gear driven unit would outlast as dwayne stated. I do know someone whos' local who has 160K on a stock auburn posi, and it's even behind a 383 and it still works. 3.73s and a posi will easily allow burnouts of the 235/70/15 stock tires
Hell 2.56s one wheel one hell of a burnout.
here's my 2.56 one wheel peel when I test drove my car. 3/4 throttle from a dead stop on newer tires. Car smelled like burnt rubber when I brought it back. Lady never said anything...

GM8 in SPID indicates 2.56s. G80 (rare option on 2.56s) is Posi.
BTW videos in sig..

But this car makes a complete spectacle of it. And the same thing, the entire car smells like burnt rubber. The car will just hang in there and roast the white wall, smoke will be shooting out from underneath the well and the entire car will just smell like a drag strip. The entire thing is just obscene and over the top. I love it.

the burnout looks to be a 1 tire fire but the 12.39 1/4 mile time is badass.

Bonneville SSEI seats are a big improvement from the Roady seats and a HUGE one from Caprice seats. I have them in two cars with Blazer consoles. You could find a more stick compatible console though.
There is even a M6 Roady wagon out there and at least one M6 Fleetwood.

Nah mayby your thinking of the 240 I did. Haven't done any rx7s yet.
Didn't keep the car long enough to work out a permanent center console. Were you on impalassforum.com a few years ago? I was on there when I had my roadie and I think I remember seeing your name over there. It's been a while though.

Any information on those 6 speed setups?

Mine took 40hrs, and you wouldn't believe how different the car felt afterward. Well worth it IMO.
