Question Dirty intake PICS

I had to replace my IAC today so when I pulled the TB I looked inside the intake and it was covered in a thin film of oil. DIRTY OIL

Is this normal? the motor is only about 8k miles old. It is coming from the breather tube on the passenger valvecover. Has anyone just run a push in VC breather and capped the port on the TB? Will it even make a difference? Is there anyway to clean this off without pulling the intake? TB/Injector cleaner spray?

unless that car's boosted or running a big n2o shot, a catch can is just a band aid for a bigger problem. I'd say there's a problem with your pcv system or you're just getting some nasty *** blowby

is everything routed in factory locations?

http://thunderracing.com/catalog/?ac...vid=4&pcid=276 You can use one of these and put a vaccum cap on the port of the throttle body. Gonna do it myself eventually just need to get around to it. You will have unmeterd air entering the engine though. Also right now im running a small breather filter were the throttle body hose enters the valve cover. Breather filter part number is BF412, you can get it at autozone. It just pushed right into the grommet thats already back there. Connect the hose to it and your good to go. Should keep most of the oil out of your intake.

AFAIK yes lines are in the right spot, No boost, pcv valve is new put on at time of motor build the car doesnt smoke and wouldn't blowby show up on the exhaust side of the head instead of the intake?

Dave that is exactly the what I want to do (the link). I just wanted some peoples experience with them.
