Default L31 Stroker Dyno #'s

Took my truck to the dyno, and even though its not an LT1 I thought you guys might be interested.

327.4 RWHP
381.1 RWTQ

This is with the stock vortec fuel injection with only 19 lb. injectors. I could squeeze some more out with electric fans, but I'm pretty happy with these numbers considering the intake manifolds poor performance. I hear alot of people talk about putting a stroker in their truck but I have yet to see any dyno #'s from people that have with a similar setup N/A (L31). Plus, its a Hotcam motor so people should bash on it off the bat.

thats pretty cool for a truck. i'd bet it's a fun silverado

Stock heads or ported heads?

Is the stroker kit for an L31 the same as a SBC? Did you use a cast crank?

I am using Vortec heads that I ported myself. I am also using an Eagle 4340 forged crank, and 4340 H-beam rods. Its just a late model one piece rear main seal short block: topped off with stock heads and fuel injection . Stock hp is 255 and puts down 190-200 to the wheels, so with those #'s I would be at bout 420 H.P. at the crank. Makes sense to me, Hotrod did a dyno test with GM's 383 crate engine and made 416 H.P. with same cam.
So I'm glad that I'm at least in the same ball park.
