I'm pretty sure this guy was banned on here a couple times as to why he hasn't posted it here. If I remember correctly it has a set of converted SBC heads. If I'm wrong ignore all of that.

Either was congrats on making the first 8 second pass.

About time!! Over the years we've seen several 150+mph nitrous LT1's and cars that should have run the number and we all knew it was going to happen. Congrats.

DA didnt help but its not gonna drop the times like a NA motor would. Maybe a tenth or two and 1-2 mph. N2o levels it out a ton.

haulin ***.... congrats to him for doing it..... hell taner, me and Tony are all pissed that he did it first...

let the fun begin though. 9.034 was the old record by the dude from Colorado. He ran that 9.0 at like Bandimere which is like 5000' altitude!!!! So the 8.95 is still touchable by a few cars. I wanted to bring my car out on the 4th of july to grudgefest. Don't know if my tuner is going to be available so it might not happen and i might have to wait for another week. I went 143 on a 150 shot so I know the car will go 150+ on the 3xx hit....

I think that the record breaking is going to re-ignite some interest in the LT1 record wars. nobody touched the 9.1 that spray had for a LONG time and you're just now seeing motors being built by ppl that have been tinkering with LT1's forever and know them inside and out. The limits of the LT1 are being tested and stretched and it's about time we find out what the true potential of these motors are....

congrats mike on the run. You've still got some peeps on your heels tho...

Lt1s are making a come back if you ask me. They are a great motor that just got over shaddowed by the LS engines. Now they are cheap enough for guys to start playin with!!
I plan on going 8s sometime in the future with mine.

Well said .

Add in the new heads and even Darts block and there are sure to be some impressive combos in the future . I think the next year or two is going to be a lot of back to back record breaking!

Grats again to Jake for being the first.
