Default What do you guys think???

My buddy just got a LT1 formula A4.
Hes got a Lingenfelter cai, hooker headers, to 3" headerback exhuast no cats or mufflers straight through. he also has a manual cutouts where u have to take it out manually. Its got a B&M shiftkit and a 4.11 Richmond Gear what do you guys think 1/4 mile time will be?

Think it will beat a 02 LS1 a4 lid cutout LS6 intake and 3500 stahl/stall however you spell it lol

Hooker LT headers?
You have a stall, he has gears. Power wise I'd say you guys are close (assuming he has LT's and not shorties). It will be interesting...

It'll probably give your LS1 a run for its money...Similar car with less gear and a stall was at 13.5 with 105K onit, so it'll probably be close. I'd say LS will still pull the top end but LT will definitely get you outta the hole, depending on tires of course

I think both cars should run about a 13 flat in the 1/4 mile.

LS1- 3500 fti stall, slp lid, cutouts, and LS6 intake,
LT1- 4.11 gear, full exhuast with cutout, shift kit, and cai

Stock to stock the LS1 would win if both drivers are equal to one an other. I think it would be a very tight race with maybe the LS1 winning by a nose but like they say on that gay a$$ show pinks, "its to close to call".

well technically his dad has exp lol. hes used to a gtp so yea. big jump from that car to this hes a lil intimadated by it. bald nitto 555rs and 4.11 gear and full exhaust. i thought the stock a4 lt1's do like a 13.9-14.2 depending on driver. and the ls1 a4 does 13.1-13.5 or something like that??? i mean i could be way off idk.

Well an A4 with 4.11s on et streets stock 10 bolt, do you see where I'm going. It might hold up for a little bit but its a disaster waiting to happen. With the ET streets and if everything holds together than the LS1 will be playing catch up for sure and the LS1 would probably start reeling the LT1 in on the big end but he might run out of real estate before he pulls back even.

I would give the nod to the LS1 then. You should be able to run a 12.7 with et streets and the LT1 doesn't have that in it.

If I read your post correctly he's an a4 with 4.11 gears. U should be beat him everytime in the qtr cause his tranny will be shifting into O/D before the 1/4 mark. Or if it doesn't shift into O/D then he's spinning a stock motor well beyond where it makes its power. A head/cam motor with ARP bolted bottom end would probably like the 4.11s. I personally think thats too much gear unless running 28inch tires. Just my 2 cents.

yes hes an a4 with 4.11 no stall shift kit
shes a a4 with 3.23 3500 stall no shift kit
i think hes gonna blow the motor cuz it wines out the gears. it dont shift outta 3rd till like 110mph. i dont think thats adding up somewhere somehow. if anything he should be outta 3rd at like what 90? i mean this guy told him alot about the car that isnt true at all. He said LT4 swap 2800 stall and the ws6 package suspension. the only think i see under the car is a crossmemember for the rear end. lol and a painted rear end haha. there is no LT4 setup no stall at all besides stock the tires break loose at 1200rpm lol. This guy did get the shift kit correct. and maybe the gear.

my dad is running a 4.11 gear on a 275/55/16 mickey thompson et street. his motor is kinda built and i know the trannny and rearend are. TH400 3500-4000 stall and a strange 9" rear end 37spline axles. but yea anyway he shifts his at 6000 rpms and gets outta 3rd at like 90 or so. you think the guy could of lied about the gear ratio too?

A4s are dogs without stalls. The stalled LS1 should eat him alive!

Why in the world is it only getting 2.1 60's with a 3500 stall? Is it on bald mini-van tires ?
