Yeah i gapped all the plugs to .050". I guess i'll throw a set of new O2s in the car in the next couples weeks then. They are only about 3 years old. I replaced my fuel filter about 4,000 miles ago.

just because you replaced them doesn't mean they're not bad now.

make sure you don't have any leaks or anything that could be getting on the o2's
as far as the fuel filter, always an easy and cheap fix.

Well i drove it to work today and it still has a noticeable stumble. I dont think the plugs are fouled out or anything i think it is just the 02 sensor. I do get an intermitant SES light and it runs smoother then goes off and it rough again while cruising. Seems to run great at WOT. I am running to get a new O2 sensor now since only one set of plugs was fouled out.

UNplug your maf and get a code to set so you are not using your o2 and fouling the brand new plugs

Gotta love and LT1 and its misfires from hell. I opt for your o2's being faulty, if it doesnt miss at WOT throttle or at first start of the car, its the o2 sensors. Hope you figure it out though, i know it sucks having misfire problems, we all been there. i had a low RPM stumble for the longest time, checked all my plugs, and one was GAPPED AT .05!!! i cant believe that piston even fired at all. Sometimes it can be the dumbest things. Epic fail on my part :/

Yeah actually i did unplug my MAF and drive home but are you sure that turns off the o2s? I still had a stumble and miss with it unplugged it just wasnt as noticeable. I just replaced the passenger O2 and she drives like a dream. Did a few WOT runs to clear the plugs out a little. I only put 14 miles on them though so i dont think there was much damage.

Thanks guys! I'll keep you updated if i have anymore problems.

could be same problem he had....trust me i have been threw it as well went threw 4 sets of spark plugs looking for right gap and why they were fouling and yes one plug can foul a hole bank over time because the o2 are reading rich and the PCM can only pull so much fuel from the BLM table.

Yeah i have since put another 2 02 sensors in, and 2 sets of plugs. They dont seem to last very long. Also the wires are forever getting burnt so i will be running some OTVC wires the next time i do the plugs.

I am also getting what seems to be the misfiring coming back now...since I replaced the spark plugs....I wish someone had mentioned NOT going iridium sooner. Or bumping into this thread.
Anyhoot...I didnt do the wires at the same time but am now going to throw thos on...probably standard size Autolites......
Do the O2s go bad without bringing up the SES light is my main question?
I kind of want to replace them just on the notion that they may be part of the problem.
But not if its a well known fact that u shouldnt until the SES light comes on.

No, you wont receive and SES light. I did intermittantly for a minute or two but it would go right off so i never got a chance to scan it. OB1 systems suck for diagnosing things via DTCs. Go to Autozone and get yourself two new O2s. Theya re about $42 each and they will have a lifetime warranty. I just keep bringing min back when they go bad. It only takes a couple minutes to get the old ones out when i feel them acting up and usually it wont hurt your plugs as long as you catch them soon enough.

I went with AC Delco becuz I am a fan and becuz had I stuck to my gunz about using OEM parts...I would not be in the mess I am in with theez fukn Iridiums(which cost more btw)
The engine seemed to idle a little smoother...but I am trying to get the wires done and also replace the coil......unfortunately there I will be going with Autolite for the wires and the coil MSD street fire or Hi-perf.....Im hoping I wont regret aftermarket there.

I got the 02s for 58 bucks a pop. the passenger side everything in this car is a PITA!!!
