Hey Guys , I have a 95 Z which now has a 96 Harness. basically I switched to an auto , and the harness is from a 96. I bought a new coil (single plug MSD 8231 for the 96 harness) however the coil has no tower on it for the coil wire. Does someone have a pic of a 96 coil wire, or a suggestion as to what kind of coil wire I can buy or make? OR, is there a tower that can be bought for this coil?

The 96-97 coils uses a terminal that is the same as the terminal on the opti end (so, your old coil wire won't work). It has to have a place to plug in the coil wire.

 

Get a spark plug wire kit for a '96-'97. You can use the coil wire and toss the rest of the wires on a shelf in your garage. It never hurts to have a set of wires on the shelf anyways.
