Distrbutor cap question

My distributor cap is cracked. I have heard from several different people now that MSD and Accel Caps are just OEM caps painted to look good, no different than stock. Not sure. Do I spend the extra money on MSD or am I wasteing my money?

I have the MSD and if you don't have a vented opti it is a good buy because it helps rectify that problem. There's no doubt it's the best quality of all the rotor and cap sets.

MSD caps are not OEM repainted.

IIRC the points on the msd cap are made out of a higher quality metal than the oem cap. not sure though i have a the whole msd opti unit so it might just be on mine.

MSD caps are nice. I wouldn't buy the Accel cap.
