Default Gauge Swap?

How hard is it to go from a 115 speedo to a 150? What is involved?

I drove my Lt1 with both a '97 v6 gauge cluster (I did an engine swap) and the '97 LT1 gauge cluster. Both worked, just unbolted and unplugged the v6 gauge cluster, swapped in the LT1.

Its a 94 Camaro, Well i read somewhere that the 125 cluster came in the Base model Lt1's from the factory, (they had a governor at 108) So i was wondering if it was possible to just unplug the 115 and plug in the 150? Or will i have to get it calibrated?

On the V8 94+ cars it should be a direct swap, the cars that didn't get Z-rated tires (RPE Code QLC) got the lower speedo. The 93s are the only ones where you have to use a 93 speedo or the tach wont work.

From what I've read, yes. Just plug n play. I've got the 115mph gauge, and I've got a 150 sitting in my basement. I just haven't put it in yet; Id like to know what Im getting myself into, before I tear my dash apart.

it should be a direct swap as long as you arent a 93, the only issue would be the limiter as stated
