Exclamation can someone identify this seal !

i just finished assembling my short block using sealed power gasket set (part# 260-1650) and i was left with this seal not knowing what its for ,,its a white plastic seal about 7/8" diameter.

I almost want to say the Water Pump Drive Seal.. that's about the only thing in that is that diameter..but that seal looks different.

I don't remember the Oil Pump having a Seal like that..

Could that be a Bushing for the Drive Shafts..either the Oil Pump or Water Pump?

I dont think that has anything to do with the waterpump, atleast when I took mine off and converted it to electric I didnt see anything that even looked similar to that, I also removed the pump drive shaft and nothing like that. I looks like a bushing not a seal. Could it be for your oil drain plug?

the water pump drive has a totally diffrent seal, and i dont think it belongs to the oil pump, my oil pump is already installed and this seal has nowhere to go on the pump !!!

No..that one is thinner than that and a tan color.

Maybe that's just an extra piece of junk that got in the pack..

could be a bushing since its plastic im not sure..i didnt know the drain plug has a seal,ill check that first thing when i get back home

There is a little O-ring or piece of rubber on the end of the Oil Drain Plug..nothing like that.

Yah I was just takin a guess bcz Ive seen plastic ones on import cars that look kinda similar to that pic. the one on my is is what you described.

Its the oil drain plug gasket for sure. Have the same kit. 100% positive

Looks like a seal from an after market transmission pan for the drain plug..
