Cutouts... Is this what i want?
Cutouts... Is this what i want? If im running just an SLP Catback on the stock headers and mid pipe will this work? Or could i get away with just one of them?

Do you mean stock manifolds? If so than I don't think a cut out will really net any gains at all because your cat back is not your biggest constraint. What year car is it? If it is OBDII than I would put some long tubes and ORY on it first or if it is OBDI than you might get a couple ponies if you dump it right before the cat. Either way, unless you are running true duals, one cutout after the Y is sufficient

Well as of right now im not going for straight power, i just want the sound... I know it sounds dumb but im starting from the top and going down or im going backwards, however you wanna put it... I will get Either Hooker's or Pacesetter's soon... Will this just weld into where the mid pipe is or will i have to replace anything to put this in? I think im gonna dump it after the manifolds anyways... But will this just slip on there or what? Is it hard to do? Im gonna do an SLP one Catback too when i do this so maybe i will gut the cats while im under it?

Am i going to need a y pipe to do a cut out or can i use the stock mid pipe? Since its a california edition will i have any problems with doing the exhaust? SLP LM1 or 2 (Havent decided yet) with a cutout and some longtubes will satisfy me for the time being... You gotta remember im coming from a 16 second Honda so this is already a huge step up stock!

Go to Summit or Jegs and buy a manual cutout for like $40 shipped, then buy an electric cutout for it if you want it. If you buy it as a kit they send you an overpriced (but really nice looking) cutout (y-pipe). And unless you have true duals, you can easily just use one.
Edit - Here's what you need, you can add a stainless Y-Pipe for $40 (good deal). You mite need a different size though, that's for a 3".

Okay then, next question... Am i going to need a 2.5" or a 3" to work with my stock stuff? I was thinking about going with the stock exhast and manifolds for a while, till more money comes in (im spending a little more ont he car than expected). I hear the pipe is a 2.75" but idk i mean a 3" with couplers should work and give me more flow right?
FYI if you are going with a LM catback the cutout will net you no gains whatsoever. but if you want to pay that much for the sound aspect, go for it

i just got a LM1 on my car. its a 96 so it has the dual cats like a cali car. didnt need to use the hangers and stuff with the kit that was 30 something bucks. just buy the cat back for 380ish at ws6 and it bolts right up reusing stock stuff. i actually bought the adapter kit and had to send it back, lost 8 bucks that way

i think stock exhaust is 2.5in. its been so long since i messed with a stock exhaust. going with a 3in cutout(when closed or open) on a stock system wont gain you any hp compared to a 2.5in cutout. the 3in may cause a restriction(when closed) because of the the bigger pipe and then the exhaust has to squeeze through the smaller pipe again
