Default Did OTVC last night...

I remember reading someone taking 1 1/2 hours - 2 hours to do this. May I ask the question how?

It turned into mayhem last night and a 6 hour affair and I still need to adjust some lengths. Driver side went smooth in about an hour or so, but the passenger side...my god if there was ever a more horrible place to work in the engine bay. Getting the plug wire off of the six spark plug was a bitch, because of that metal guard that was jammed against the header and all those dividers keeping the wires together on that side is just unreal. Not to mention trying to keep the 8.5mm wires away from the pullies and still not get pinched by the alternator.

I had it all put back together and fired the bitch up and what else would I expect but a misfire. I had 4,6, and 8 all messed up on the cap. So I had to remove the alternator once more to redo them, what a joke.

/end rant

I can't see myself doing this ever again...I also jacked my head against a metal plow while getting out from under the car...

Wow, only an hour? I suppose it didn't help that it was my first time. I also have all that emissions crap on my longtubes which gets in the way.

Air Pump and Bracket - just start unbolting; so easy even I could do it.

Air Lines into the exhaust manifolds - unbolt, cut / bent / rip out; then fill the two holes with Home Depot brass fittings.

EGR delete - This is a little more involved...

Damn, you work fast. lol. The last time I did plugs, it took me a little over an hour. I don't know if I even want to try doing wires.

No gains and no downfalls. Simply less clutter under the hood and some weight reduction.

It took me a few hours. The separators I used made it a total pain in the *** on the drivers side due to the primary that runs over top of the others:

Where do you get the wire separators for the OVC setup? I've been thinking about switching to them, just for a little less worries, and to organize and clean-up the engine bay a little.
