Default will a 3rd gen trans (AUTO) work in a 4th gen

OK it's a 93 camaro auto and 2nd gear is toast.

guess he found a 3rd gen trans without a converter for a good price but not sure if it will work

1. are 93 camaro 700r4 eletronic ?????????

2. would a 95 roadmaster auto work in his camaro.

3. pretty much the fit / not fit list on the thrid gen trans.

The speedo is on the 93, when I did gears the speedo gears I got for my 93 were for a mechanical speedo, had to get speedo gears from an electric. The trans isn't computer controlled how ever, also the case conectors should be different, belive 4 pin versus 5 pin case connector. It'll work though. The 95 would have a 4L60E, so I dont imagine so with out an after market style trans controller.

It depends, make sure the input splines are the same, and the plug for the lock-up control make sure it is a 5 pin not the 4 pin, if it is the 4 pin you will have to do some wiring changes for the lock-up to work. The speedo just needs to be taken from the 93 tranny. the ssensor and the ring on the output shaft.
