should i plug it or leave it open ?.......switching to EWP

Leave the gear in place with seal, if you've taken it out already then plug it with a freeze plug and silicone. You will have to grind on the plug to fit and make it flush.

i ve read in other threads in the past that some leave it unpluged, but was just curious if it would be better to plug it for the long run

or you can leave it the drive and seal in with the water in place just dont put the drive connector in between them, you will be just fine..
