Be careful with those guideplates, a lot of the SBC ones don't fit quite right, but you can modify them to align properly.

He said that the guy he bought them from had them installed on his LT1. The guy that is installing them has been building SBC for years

yes he did...you guys were right on and everything is good now...

well i should say in those cases its good, lol. turns out the heads need a valve job so they're at the machine shop. should get them back later today so it COULD be done tomorrow...i hope anyway
