Default Copper Gaskets???

blowed stock gaskets on my 383.. looking at SCE Titan Copper self sealing head gaskets.. anybody using them? and are they really the best?

Before you are quick to blame the head gasket, why not try to determine what really caused the head gasket to blow?

Never had a problem with OEM or Impala head gaskets.

i agree never had issues with stock headgaskets, only switched to cometics because ill be spraying 200. what heads are you using?

i had the heads decked and valve job the whole nine yards when i built my motor.. from the day i first crunk it up it was losing water.. then blowed gaskets and it went through exhaust.. took off the heads took to a friends shop and my drivers head is warped. he thinks they were never decked.. i'm going with after market gaskets cause i dont wanna tear them down again after i put on my 2 stage nos

Reads like the heads were either never milled or not milled true. Have them rechecked by a good machine shop.

got my heads back today and boy.. one was off 5 thousands in the center.. had em decked more.. and i got my SCE gaskets today too.. starting on er tomorrow afternoon.. hopefully have it running by sunday if nothing goes wrong..
