Arrow Dead quiet exhaust?

With Pacesetter long tubes, 3" ORY and no cats or resonators, what would be the quietest decently flowing exhaust?

I have an SLP resonator, and have no problem slipping it after the ORY if it will help quieten the exhaust.

I am looking for an exhaust that will come awake at mid to WOT.

I know with a 112LSA cam its not going to be dead smooth, but as quiet as can be.

I was looking at Magnaflow, if I can find a used one, or Hooker Aerochamber (love the old school deep sound it produces).

Stock catback with a cutout. Go from mild to wild in the push of a button!

Cutouts=

I heard that the magnaflow catbacks are pretty loud. But I did hear a procharged car with a magnaflow catback but had a spintech mffler to replace the magnaflow and it was quiet and just sounded mean

My magnaflow muffler is really nice, but I hate the rasp it makes when I down shift or use the motor to slow down

I'll agree with the Hooker Aerochamber post above. Definitely docile at idle but sounds delicious at WOT. Not to mention it is one of the least expensive full cat-backs out there.

But then it would be either outrageously loud, or choked up with the stock muffler.

Don't get me wrong, a nice tamed note at idle is beautiful, but the way it sounds now is just crazy!

I found one here for about 110$ with tips and mandrel bent pipes, I might just get it and throw the SLP resonator in the middle.

I was bullshitting on the stock exhaust and cutout lol. Imo get the hooker aerochamber, thats my next purchase! Magnaflow is nice for the money, but it's raspy at certain rpm's, wich is why Im ditching the flowjunk! hopefully pick up a couple more ponies too...

I already had a flowmaster and liked its sound, but it only had a 1500-2500 sweetspot, and then was crap otherwise.

I think the hooker aero is going on my car next. Will ring up the guy and go pick it up!

Yeah the Hooker should be nice. Last year I ran a cat after my old ORY into the Magnaflow for inspection and the car was so tame until I laid into it, was pretty nice.

Get the Hooker Aerochamber. I have a Hooker cat-back, it's quiet at idle but screams at WOT. Plus it has a deep muscular tone, sounds vicious.

Are you running LTs and ORY? Any cats or resonators?

For a quiet exhaust it would work, but I just hate cutouts, didn't mean to sound like I was bashing your response

I think the hooker would be a nice choice. I have heard a few of those on youtube and they sound sweet. I'm still deciding on new mufflers for my new setup, magnaflows are nice, but they are raspy but a different raspyness than the flowmasters.

Spintech would be nice, but I heard the mufflers are really heavy.

Theres alot of choices out there, but it comes down to personal preference I guess.

I like the deep throaty rumble of the Aerochamber, it sounds really mean! I am picking up a muffler from a local guy, he is also a member on our forum.

Would placing the SLP resonator help reduce rasp? I wanted to originally install a flexible resonator.

Yeah the resonator would help a little bit, but probably not much. I don't know for sure though

i have a 4" with two bulets in the y and a hooker maxflo, sounds pretty mild for the motor i have. if you dont mind having no tailpipes, run a big single muffler with a turndown, i think they sound alot better than the stock crossover style.

The police are hunting us down here man, being loud can even get the car towed away if the guy is a real as$hole! I love driving my car, drive it more than my DD so I want to avoid attention.

Otherwise, I would be running open headers with a pipe flowing under the doors like the Viper RT/10

i recently installed a resonator in the i-pipe of my borla and it cut rasp down a whole lot. very smooth sound. would def install the resonator regardless of which catback you run.

+1 on the Hooker catback. I don't have longtubes, but I did run it without cats for a few days waiting for new magnaflow cats to come in. It's perfect with the cats to me. It was still mild without cats compared to most exhausts, but sounded completely badass. It is pretty mild at normal throttle, but really speaks up when you put your foot in it.
