tps problems...

tps problems... alright...so i have a 94 z/28. i just got my tranny rebuilt and the mechanic told me it was shifting weird and had no passing gear on the highway. so i looked through some stuff and found that my tps was bad. i thought just replacing it would be the fix, but it turns out that the tps isn't getting power at all. 
has anyone had this problem before? and if so...can you help me figure this out? thanks!

When I was having TPS issues mine would not shift at all and would buck around 2000 rpm. I found my culprit was a MAP sensor wire pinched by the alternator bracket so I would trace the wire loom running along the passenger side of the intake manifold.

Hey this really helped me i had the same issue, no passing gear what so ever just follow the instruction on this page and should be ok shut remember to turn the key back off and then back on when your done.

You said its not even gettiong power though right? Have you checked that with a voltimeter? Because if he is not getting any power TO the TPS, then that article wont help him any...
Check the wires with a votimeter and make sure it has no power.

Thanks guys! This is all going to be really helpful when I go out to the shop this week to work on it! I'm sure it will be a pita...but I don't think I will have too much trouble with it...hopefully..lmao!
