Default otvc setup looks nice out the box...

BlancoSS good stuff man I like it. Now the install part. I thought it would of been a slam dunk... but might have a few complications? The number 5 plug was the arching one, and looks almost impossible to get out due to the header setup... Might try and get it done tonight lol back from vacation and have to work on the car the night before work...

So I dropped the hood and started to hit google. I came across some shorty accel plugs acc-8199. Heat range is up to 6 a step up from the new tr55's I have. The reach is shortened to .460 compared to the tr55's. My question is will that difference in the depth the plug goes into the head affect anything?

I run a TR6 in my Z28, its actually a step colder, but yes, they work perfectly fine in my car as well as many others.

i wouldn't do otvc wires with those headers, just route them tight on the bottom.

What I would do is hook number 5 onto number 3 and run them in the same place until under the header, and then branch them off. It will work very well. I only have the otvc on the back two plug wires on my lt1, and everything seems to be working fine...if your number 5 is arcing, you can also run it in the rail next to the block where number 7 usually runs since number 7 will be on top. Running the drivers side underneath I have never had problems with, but I also have shorty headers.
