Ion (madtuner) claims that on a bone stock LT1 his tunes are worth an average of 13 hp to the wheels...so if you have any mods it should be a little more. Even if you only gain 13 hp it's like paying $10 per HP which isn't bad at all.
To the OP, there was two transmissions available in 93 so for us to guess "what it should feel like", we need to know which tranny you have.
The 93 trans you got is probably a 3.36 first gear trans.
Why?
Because it's acting like you have 4.10 gears.
And because that trans. had an 11 tooth reluctor ring. Your original had a 17 tooth ring. Easy to change. Too bad you didn't do it before the swap.

i got it tuned today... what he could... my data table was ALL over the place and he said that its either my opti, plugs, wires, or all three. he got the speedo fixed somewhat i think at 70-75 its running between 80-85 as in speedo says 80-85 and car is only moving 70-75
