Default Comp cam Pro Mag RR's

For all you guys that have them, is there anything that i am missing with these things to keep the side to side movement from happening when they are tightend to specs? It just seems too easy for these RR's to move off the center of the keepers and i am not chancing my $$$ invesement of heads and RR's i just got.

Because it would seem to me if they are moving that much they are NSA and 99% of people on here buy NSA pro mags. But you may be correct. OP What pro mags do you have?

I'm with AC, you have to use guide plates if you have NSA rockers.

sorry for the wait i was out the door 2 mins after i wrote this, they are the 1302-16 brand pro mags, so they arent the self aligning. So what do i need than?

You need hardened guideplates and hardened pushrods with non self-aligning rockers. This requires removal of the rocker studs as well. Unfortunately you already have the rockers, so upgrading to 7/16" studs looks like it's out of the question.

Shouldn't the shop you went to have set this up for you, or did you get the RR's yourself?

NSA=not self aligning, meaning you need something to keep them aligned. SA=self aligning, meaning they keep themselves aligned. Reread your post, you kind of answered it yourself

Or was that sarcasm?

Make sure you get guideplates that are suitable for LTX heads some of the sbc guide plates cause a misalignment (geometry issues) I use AI hardened guideplates

Yea after talking to him he said the guy just grabbed rr's when he asked for them. But i got the guide plates , well my bro does. I hoope to have this running by monday now...

I didn't use those, but I do believe they require a little trimming for clearance.

Beehive springs?

No inner valve covers I have a corvette and they come with composite covers

I broke the drip tabs off, but in hindsite the rockers may have cleared without breaking the drip tabs off. (literally took less than a minute to break the 16 tabs off.

Well i got my stuff resolved, i got my steel hardned push rods coming weds and the guide plates i already have. So hpfully by weds the intake, the wiring, the whole front setup and cooling system will be back together and the only thing needed would be the sliding in of the push rods and adjust the rockers and ready to fire up. My new goal is to take the truck home weds night.

yea the only problem is that its still got a damn open diff and 3.42 gears...so its gonna have not traction or get up off the line and im going to have traction issues with no traction bars or DR's.....damn **** cost so damn much money.

These RRs better be gods gift to earth for all this damn money i spent on these and the heads.
