Catback
Catback Will a 98-02 Magnaflow catback work on a 97 LT1? Why don't they sell a system with the dual tips vs. the single tip for LT1's? That's the only reason I would rather have the LS1 catback.

it MIGHT. i bought an slp kit and the way it was manufactured for the 98-02, i didnt need the hangers / bushings from the 96-97 install kit. i think that i reused the old bushings when i had it installed... i am not too sure and like you say you have the magnaflow kit. maybe check it out on walker exhaust or something compare 97 to 98 or whatever. it tells you where stock hangers / clamps and stuff go
