My check engine light is pulled out, will it still throw codes on scanner?

Default My check engine light is pulled out, will it still throw codes on scanner?

Okay my check engine light bulb is taken out,because of no cats/egr. I have a autoxray scanner and it's throwing no codes, does the bulb have to by physically in the socket for the car to even throw codes on my scanner? prob. a stupid question, but Im just not sure.

it will still throw codes, you just wont know about it because the light is missing

Yes the lightbulb is the key! Lol, no the light bulb will not stop your car from throwing codes... its just a light bulb.
