Default What times would I be looking at?

Car: 1995 Z28 T-Top M6 (weighed in at 3200 I think)

Mods: edelbrock shorties, cat removed, stock piping with 3" bullet turned down, K&N CAI, B&M short shifter

Current time on current set-up: 60'- 2.25, 1/4- 13.7 @104 (spinning 1st/2nd, and some of 3rd)

What would I run with these mods added?:
- 75 wet shot
- 4.10 gears
- slicks (obviously not launching hard with my 10 bolt, but it's more for the top of 1st and on)

I've tried to make this legit as possible, any more info need, let me know. Just looking for a good estimate

You could definitely get into the 11's if you can drive. I say go with an 100 shot instead of 75.. What's 25 more

If a 100 shot is safe on a stock car, why not

Forgot the car has a spec stage 3 clutch... might as well. lol

Somewhere in the 11's if your 10 bolt holds.

11s on a car with shorties and a CAI with unrestricted muffler and a 100 shot?

It would be quite impressive if he ran such a time. That would be one freak LT1!!!

(not saying this with an attitude or anything)

What times do you think are in the realm of possibilities? You missed the 4.10s

Yea, I read the 4.10s bro. My post was not negative bro, I hope you didn't understand it that way. But considering your mods, and expecting 11s means my build can do 10s on a shot of 100 with a good stall and slicks?

Only way to find out is to run the 1/4 mile

Like I said, if you do run 11s, it will be one really quick LT1! Good luck buddy.

There have been full weight, bolt-on Z28's (including stock gearing, 1 5/8" shorties and full exhaust) running in the mid 11's on a 150 shot. No reason this car couldn't be in the 11's with the way it is. The only problem I see is if it's on the stock rev. limiter it may run out of RPM at the end of the track with anything less than a 27" slick.

Stock rev limit. Anything more in stock form you will be loosing power and threaten the life of your valvetrain. The examples I used in my previous post were on stock gears and shifting right at the stock limiter.

Maybe he should upgrade his springs and swap out his rocker arms for full roller rockers 1.6 and chromeoly pushrods. Squeeze a tad bit out from the extra lift, and be able to rev a bit more?

I am going to guess 12.5s around 113 on a 100 shot.

It should do better than that. I was at 13.1 when I was running 104 and that was with the stock GSC's. Others have hit high 12's with that mph and tires.

I'd be ok with that
My dad's friend might have some slicks I can put on and make a few passes with. I also ran that when the temperature was still around 90 degrees at night, cooler and crisper air seems to help a lot; might wait till late October.

I learned the clutch slip when I had my AWD DSM, lol. 2 step, 7 psi (on launch, 24 psi once it built it up), 4500rpm, you learn to slip that stage 2/3 clutch to keep everything intact
