Default No Longer an LT1 Owner :(

Sorry guys...i've been a proud member for many years and won many awards on behalf of LT1's, but the time came for me to move on. This was my first car and i did EVERYTHING to it, pretty much everything i know today about cars came from that car. Im extremely sad to not see it in my garage anymore...BUT i do not regret doing what i did. Hell i'm even feeling sad while typing this out and its been a couple of weeks since i said goodbye. Hopefully the new owner will take good care of her, i think he will. And yes..i did go to complete opposites

Honestly, i was tired of having a show car for one. Also i've wanted a turbo car for a long time and i've always enjoyed corners more then straights and the AWD STi offers a lot more in that area. Im not brand biased in any way, i love any car if its a good car and STi's are great cars. I drive the thing everyday with A/C blasting and 20mpg in the city...then my foot goes down and the AWD offers nothign but traction. I know im going to get a lot of **** for it but i do love the new car...though i'll always miss my T/A

Man...thats one awesome LT1. Ive seen it here and there on the board. Whats going to errk some is that you went to an import from an f-body. Usually its the other way around...ha. None the less...at least you didnt go jump into an LS1..ha. Would you mind sharing how much you got for it?

I'd love a WRX. They are nice cars. Too bad the exhaust leaves so much to be desired.

Yeah the exhaust sound is sub-par. Sounds the same throughout the RPM range. Handles and brakes well though, thats for sure. It's not going to be nearly as fast in a straight line though. No replacement for displacement

That is true...i honestly had gotten tired of the straight line speed really, im probably going to do a turbo upgrade and shoot for about 350 AWHP and just do a lot of suspension and drive it everyday, and im suprised you guys think the exhaust is disappointing, of all 4 cylinders i think the STi boxer motor sounds the best by far. But yea, it is sad to see it go.

And for those asking, i got this car by trading my Trans Am and giving him $2500 on top of it, not a bad deal i dont think for a car that KBB's over 20K

The car has a full turbo back exhaust with no car, stage 2 tune, CAI, perrin wing stabilizers, and an ACT stage 2 clutch with 3k miles on it.

And for those that have not felt turbo and AWD...its honestly amazing, while the trans am was quicker, this thing is a beast off the line and is extremely smooth at high speeds. My girlfriend used to get nervous around 120 in the trans am, yesterday i did 130 in this thing and she had to look over to see how fast we were going. Its amazing what actual aerodynamics can do for a car haha.

Nice looking TA.

I do like WRX's though, I've always considered them if I wanted something more practical, glad to hear you like it

Not a bad deal. Is a sick looking T/A though. I'm surprised about the exhaust comment also, always thought WRX's had the deeper nicer sounding exhaust out of all those 4 cylinder cars.

I agree about the exhaust sounding better than 99% of imports.

j/k my buddy, has the same car there awesome for an import. But to me they cant compare to the feel of a muscle car, if that makes sense.

I know its not your car, but do you happen to know what wheels are on the T/A next to your car in the second pic?

wrx has the best exhaust tone. I'll be getting an evo eventually. Once I graduate from college and land a job, pay some bills, I hope to hop into a Corvette and an Evo.
