low idle at random times

low idle at random times The other day i was driving around when i would let off the gas or go up to a stop sign my idle would drop to around 500..got it home and shut it off..couldnt find anything wrong..started the car back up and idled perfect....now again today it did the same thing..got it home turned it off for a sec then back on and idled fine. this occurrence was about 4-7 days apart...any ideas?
I have the same problem as you. Random. Happens hot or cold. My car is cammed so trying to investigate if the tune is affecting it. Other times idles fine. I have a questionable Opti, bought the bargain variety off summit because it shipped the quickest. I also have an issue where the car will die suddenly while driving. Could be after hard throttle and highway speed or a leisurely cruise through the countryside. Left me dead on the side of the road 3 or 4 times this year. Oddly, if I wait about 15-30 minutes, it decides it wants to work again.
So I wasn't trying to hijack your thread but I am going to look into checking my ICM and IAC valve. In my particular situation, if I fiddle with the coil wire as in remove it and put it back on, its right after that when the car decides to fire up again. You aren't alone. Also going to check my O2s, seems to be another pathway to diagnosis for this low idle issue.
