Very nice. The red looks much better than what you took off.
In answer to a previous question, it was not obvious when I took mine off that it was leaking. However, you have to remember that the oil pressure can be 40+ psi, so it could have been a very small leak and still given the results you observed.

i also replaced the oil sending unit and now i have no oil pressure at idle, driving it is fine, no knocking at idle either
why????
i think it is because i used a channel lock pliers instead of using the right socket on the OSU, so i got to replace that again, without taking the intake off

finally got your hands dirty lol....nice job Ryan I'm glad your starting to wrench on your own, intake looks good. If you got any questions let me know. I had a set of the FPP1284 gaskets hanging on the wall in my garage too, you should have called me. FYI, make sure you have the fresh air vacuum line hooked up to the optispark or where going to be doing that job all over again.

i dont know if id go that far lol.......no I work till 5 on wedensdays bob went 10.6x @ 131 on drag radials. I'm going to try to go to NED friday if the weathers good. I've been street driving mine though and it feels really good. With four mufflers and -10 degrees of timing i was pulling a 125 mph car, so I should really move in race trim.

Is it necessary to remove the intake mani when doing a camswap/valvetrain upgrade?

absolutly!!! You need to remove the lifters if not they will fall in the motor upon removing the cam, not to mention you also need to remove the oil pump drive unit at the rear of the block or the cam wont even come out.

Why not lol....that should put me in range of the 8's. It should safely handle a 200 shot, the pistons are the only limiting factor becuase they are a lightweight design but they will handle nitrous. The rest of the motor will take it with no problem. Like I said I still got some power/efficency left on the table that I'm going to squeeze out this winter.
