Aftermarket Oil Temp Sensor

Aftermarket Oil Temp Sensor Ok, I could not find a place to tap for my Oil Temp Sensor so I Tee'd it off the factory Oil Pressure sending Unit. It works ok, but I do not start to get accurate readings until the car has been running for 45+ min or longer. My question is, were the hell would be the best place to tap the sensor for the most accurate reading? I am thinking oil pan, but I hope not. I would rather find a pre existing spot on the motor. Any ways My Comp Ta will be garaged for the winter so I plan on getting a ton of winter mods done. For one, relocating the gauges from my pillars to the Center AC Vents. Although I do like the way the 2 5/8 gauges look and fit into this spot better then the 2 1/16 gauges with the adapters. I love my Autometer ES Gauges and Autometer does not make a ES in 2 5/8.

just use the plugged port for where the oil press sensor was in the early cars
