man, i am just hoping someone has run into this before, 94 z, m6. when the car is in closed loop and you try to floor it in 4th or 5th under 2500 rpms it will hiccup and stutter until you get close to 3000 rpms. occasionally when you crank the engine it will "kick back" at you after about 4 or 5 revolutions--can do this hot or cold. if you stab the gas from a dead idle in neutral it is not at all smooth, have checked things over real well, car has a bunch of new parts. have double checked all my work. appreciate any and all help.

sounds like it might be a spark scatter issue in the cap....check the optispark and make sure that the fresh air hose system is hooked up to it.

Any SES light? PCM needs to be scanned to see what the 02 sensors are doing.
