Default Running a silicone coupler from MAF to TB...

I'm so bored today that I came up with the idea to get rid of the ugly squashed stock piece that connects the MAF to the TB with something nicer that may even straighten out the air flow a tad. Figured a silicone coupler would do the job so I've found a couple on ebay. I'm away from home so I don't have an LT1 TB infront of me to figure this out.....The coupler I'm looking at has a 3.5" I.D. on one side which would fit perfectly to the MAF and the other side is a 4" I.D. Curious if when squished, would it fit the oval opening of our TB's?

measure the diameter of your tb and if its 4 inches or really close it will work.

According to the guys that did the "over the radiator intake", you use that exact coupler for connecting the TB to the MAF.

Just use a 3" Fernco sewer connector, available at Home Depot/Lowes/etc. Tons of people use them, including myself. Cost like $4.00.

You'll see it won't quite fit the throttle body when you first try to put it on - boiling it will soften it enough to stretch it over the TB.

That coupler reducer will work. Your throttle body is a touch under 4" but it will squeeze on.

siliconeintakes.com is a good place to order from too. I have bought couplers/clamps from there before. There prices are the best and there shipping time is super quick.

I just went to the local hardware store and got a 3 inch pipe coupler for 4 dollors. Works perfect. Its a stretch to get it over the TB to start wid but once the heat hits it it forms to it.
