Question Who's Running High Flow Cats?

I believe one of my two have blown out and looking to see who's running High Flow Cats on their car and what are the gains or power losses you've had. Does anyone have dyno sheets to prove gains with the different brands out there?

i asked the same question on here and got the frozen boost responses. It is an interesting concept. however, i can't stand the stink of no cats, especially on me after I'm done driving the car, so I went with the LG 3" cats which are slip on and didn't need welding. Also, metallic substrate. They are 150/each for the 3" version and 200 for the 2 1/2" versions. I'm planning install this weekend...

I have two metallic Thunderbolt cats welded into my y-pipe and they seem to be working fine for me. I think they were ~$50 each.

I have the single cat on my 93 and replaced it with a "High Flow" Magnaflow and am very happy. I believe it flows better than stock. Exhaust note from cat back got a little louder!
I have seen others recommend it as well. Passed Emmisions easily. Not sure about metal substrate.

I had magnaflow with ORY then had to throw in a magnaflow high flow cat and it actually helped me out a little down low with the added backpressure but now my car is whisper quiet compared to what it was and I hate it

Looks like there are some mixed issues here. So if I decide to delete the cats, do I have to send the PCM off to a tuner or what?

I got magnaflow ones too. The reason I went w/ them is because of the smell.

Working great.

You don't have to, but it will set off your SES light.

I lost 7 RWHP with my old Pypes mini cats. Plus it made a small but ugly dip in the torque curve. All in all, not much loss.

Thanks for the info guys! The last couple of days the cars been in the garage and I've been gutting out the cats while I have her taken apart. I think I'll get some headers and a y-pipe here in the next couple of weeks.....

I am buying 2 and placing them right into the Y-pipe!
