Looking to get used PCM. Will LT1Edit let me program it?

I would like to purchase a used PCM as a backup. I would need to program it with my current s/w b/c my engine is far too radical for a stock tune (such as 60 lb. injectors). Would LT1Edit let me do this, or is the VIN stored in the PCM itself (LT1Edit is VIN locked).
I posted this in the tuning section, but no one has responded, so I thought perhaps someone in the LT1 section might be able to answer this.

you can have that vin added to your version of lt1 edit for around 50 bucks.

Actually, it is $100, plus $50 handling fee. The only thing carputing is going to get from me is

they went up that much? good god it was only a few years ago when i picked it up and added a vin for 50.00. thats just gay

It's called GREED. It would be different if it were a quality product and they provided support. But it is crap and completely unsupported. Sigh.
I can get a used PCM from madz28 fully programmed with a stock flash and my VIN for $140.
