weight? You can drive it like that, but it will handle like a canoe.

I would not recommend taking out the rear sway bar. I would not recommend even taking the front off if the car is a DD.

my friend snapped an endlink in his 3rd gen and it didn't drive all that bad. i don't see how it would be beneficial in any way, shape, or form though.

only reason i'd ever take it off is to put a bigger one on.

Not a good idea, for performance OR safety's sake.

well i wouldnt recoomend taking it off, but if you still want to try it u could always take the endlinks out and just see how it handles and iff your ok with it then u can go ahead and take it off. just make sure ur shocks and springs are up to the task.

Take it from me, it's an overall bad idea. You would be relying entirely on the shocks and springs of the car to keep the chassis from rolling side to side. It is tolerable without the front bar, but the rear bar is a necessity, IMO.

i totally agree, but i drove my car without any sway bars on it when i got it because the endlinks were broken and it still handled far better ten my 89 chevy pickup. as long as he isnt corner carving it should be ok. if you are a corner carver tho there would be no reason to take it off would there?

Hell no matter corner carver or drag racing, there is no point to taking it off. If going for weight reduction its not worth it. A large rear bar helps with the launch, does it not? Buy one in chromoly or however the hell that's spelled.

Trust me, keep the sway bar on. I didn't have one on my firebird when I bought it and it handled like crap and didn't do anything but cause my car to sway.
