Waterpump/Opti swap done - now car is smoking? Help!
So I did an Opti/Plugs/Wires/WP swap on my Procharged 383 that I've recently completed, she fired right up but of course after every snag I ran into during this project, my troubles would not be over there.
Smoke started coming from the tail pipes and from a small leak in the exhaust farther down the way. It does not appear to have a predominate color such as blue or white, it just seems like no frills smoke.
Even cold the car is idling high, around 1100rpm, an issue that was not present before the swap began unless the car was warm. Leaving the car on for approx. 3 minutes the RPM's slowly dipped and she died off. I double checked my wires to make sure they're plugged in appropriately and they are. I've rehashed in my head what I could have done wrong but I followed my Chilton to the letter minus a few differences due to having an s/c.
Does anyone have any clue whats going on here and where I should go from here?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
