How do yall feel about this? I need one for my caprice and this guy says that it is a brand new delco unit. He's got a good rating I just have a funny feelng about it. The price is superb if it is what he says it is.

Just do a search, most people will tell you NOT to get it. Go with a GM opti or a dyno spark

Is it worth the time and money for it to be junk? You might not find out till it come apart at 6000rpm. Notice how he doesnt say it is GM Part number ______, he says it replaces it. You get what you pay for in this case.

Time and time again, people have found the cheap optis to be unreliable. You don't save any money in the long run and sometimes spend more.

I don't know if allignition has changed, but they ripped off so many people previously, that I would not send a nickle their way.

Hi guys,

AllIgnition and Ignition_DK have done their fair share of scamming. Both sellers have at one time claimed Delco units which were actually Asian units. I held off on selling the Optispark distributors for a long time and just sold the cap and rotor kits. The quality finally got where I was looking and then I started selling them. Since then I've probably sold around 700-1000 of both units combined and I've got around 15 of them sitting from returns or warranty. Overall I think the quality has gotten to an acceptable level.

I've got some parts that I never ever get returns on, but the optispark's issue is that the design itself is faulty, so there isn't much you can do. There are a lot of sellers entering the market so I've got around 150 to 200 of each unit left and when I'm out I will probably not reorder these from the factory.

These are made in the same factory as Accel's and MSD's unit. Its identical to Accel and MSD just puts a different cap on it and has some ridiculous attempt to differentiate itself with a sensor setup that does the same thing but looks different.

You can tell the really cheap Asian units by the white cover (not cap, sits between the cap and rotor) and plug used. Procomp sells their units with a white power connector. Overall it depends on what you are looking to do. If you want the silver bullet, get the Delco unit from thepartladi on ebay. They are the most reputable OEM supplier. If you order from either ignition seller on ebay you're likely to get ripped off. If you need a cheap solution with a good reputation, I offer it.

I however don't claim to have a "better" unit then stock, the stock unit is $300+. My units sell for under $100. They aren't garbage, because I have a reputation to maintain, but just use your head. If you expect a $300 distributor and pay $100 then I have a bridge to sell you.

Either way, here is a feedback image of recent feedback from my optispark products. People love them.
