It's all about leverage.
Yeah, that sounds like something someone made up. Been around f-bodies for 10 years now and I've never heard of that happening, ever. If poly mounts were so bad, why do so many people use them?

Sounds like hear-say to me.

Got a LS1. Works great. If you use the LS1 mount you also have to use the nut.

Ordered The energy suspension piece from ws6 store. I will still be using the factory motor mounts with it so if I crack my trans case I will let you guys know. I dont want to keep replacing the weak parts store pieces every couple months. I also dont want to go through the hassle of changing the motor mounts just jet.

lol^^^ theres one, but was your TA mounted to the trans? If so Id bet thats why it broke.
But Ive tried poly trans mounts on 3 cars and took them back off 3 cars, just cause road noise and vibrations sucked so bad.

^^+1, I have poly motor mounts with a rubber trans mount, I put in a poly trans mount and took it out same day. The road noise was unbearable and it picked the tranny up so much that my headers were bangin off the floorboards. The poly motor mounts vibrate enough, I have also heard of people running a stock rubber mount on the drivers side to absorb some vibes then a poly on the passenger side to combat the torsion of the motor under heavy throttle. Has anyone here run that setup?

I think the poly motor mount goes on the drivers side?...

^^It's ideal to run both of them the same..as in both Poly or Stock..don't half-*** it.

That T56 got tore up.. main reason I like my Tunnel Brace mounted T/A.
At a minimun the T/A should be re-located off of the Tranny.

If you have the ES trans mount just grind the pre-load bumps off, and then install it .
FYI, with the pre-load bumps removed the mount isn't as stiff so you'll get very little noise/vibration.
Ive had mine that way for over 6yrs, with no problems.

Installed the energy suspension piece today and everything went smoothly. The car is my daily driver until the snow flies but so far there is a little more noise but a lot more vibration from the driveshaft especially at higher speeds. Its not terrible and definatly bearible but hopefully as it gets broken in and the vibration wont be so bad.

That's good to hear. But I don't think trans and motor mounts "break in".
