I don't see any problem in having an f-body when you are 16. I bought mine when I was freshly 18 and have not done anything stupid.

Generally with age comes maturity, but just know that there is more to the car then just trying to show off. Thats the problem most 16 year olds get into.

Glad the dad likes working on the car with you. My dad isn't that way. He tells me he loves my car but says I should buy a C5 next instead so he can drive it along with his Solstice GXP. We go on cruises together.

The car sounds good. Now just work on the mods and enjoy!

I bought my car with hooker shorty headers on it....i burned up 3 wires on the third spark plug on the passenger side...then ran the otvc to those back two on the passenger side and good to go....put them on in the beginning of the summer, and are still good to go. Any headers will burn up your wires if you do not run them right. My buddy with a 68 camaro wanted to hide the plug wires under the long tubes, had aircraft heat shield, and the dei spark plug boots on it, and they still burned through. Learn how to run the wires, take some time, do it right. I know I tried half assing my way through it too, but in the end doing it right the first time is much easier than replacing spark plug wires every 5 miles.

Give it time of working on it you will get quicker. I can drop the K-member in an hour, or take it out the top in 2 hours.

+1.
The Arizona speed marine headers would destroy #6 if you were stupid enough to use a right angle boot. Put a straight boot on and no worries.

And your a retard... Installed 4 sets of AS&Ms as well as have a set on one of my own cars and I have NEVER burned a plug boot... And that is N/A as well as forced induction... Oh, they are all right-angle boots on all installs as well as MSD wires, Taylor wires, Accel wires and even Jacobs wires have been used successfully without burning a boot...

Watch what you are doing, figure it out and do what you are supposed to, and you won't have simple issues like this...

You looked like a kid in a candy store how you was hopping around getting ready to start it up haha, good feeling.

Whoever took the cheap shot at the daddy buying everything was.... cheap. Just because your daddy never loved you don't mean you can bash others. haha

i guesss since im 16 people think that my dad pays for everything?

but for a 16 year old, going to school, and working 2 jobs getting about 30-35 hours a week is very difficult, then comes my car! hah(: But i loveee it!

It was a cold start, but no it idles at 1000 cold and drops to about 900 warm

Sorry if i was rude, but you just dont understand, there was no way to prevent this man.

Im running the same headers only with aftermarket y-pipe with MSD 8.5mm wires and they do not touch anywhere. If anything my #5 plug wire is the closest to the header then any of them.

You need to eat some of those steaks at Outback brother! LOL

I love the PaceSetter headers. I went from a set of midlength headers to those and it was a noticeable difference.
