Talking I Hate My Hooker Headers!

haha well i installed Shorties and omg they ******* blow! 1st off cylinder 7's spark plug wire gets burned up every 30 minutes cause of the poor design. I have gone through 7 wires, then me and my dad were like **** this. We are ripping these off and putting on LT Pacesetters. So now im in the process of removing the Hookers and putting the new Pacesetters on!
Heres a pick. I am only 16 so yahh lol.

These are pieces of ****! (:

And some other randome stuff! (: hah

The Crew..

Block huggers are prone to burning wires, look at the primaries!

You'll be happier with LTs, don't worry.

Be sure to install heat boots on those wires to keep them from melting.
LTs or Shorties, it's all part of the game.
Running OTVC helps too.

Shorties for the loss!

Lol your friends have very cute cars. I bet that TC is ballin' fast. I mean it has rims it has to be. Lol I remember one of my old acquaintances from high school thinking his bolt-on TC could keep up with my Trans Am. Hilarious times!

I to have experience the constant burnt plug wire from my crappy edelbrock shorties, however installing an OTVC wire kit has solve that problem.

Well i still hate hooker headers cause they arent smart enough to properly design it so the boot WOULDN'T sit against the header!

An nooo i pullled out my to rebuild it! (: That was like 3 months ago. I spun a bearing when i bought it for 3k. I have new everything, and a comp cam umm i forgot the number, i think 600 something haha (:

But **** the shopping cart is hella fast, he raced the scion and almost beat him! haha

Just to let you know..my friends cars are: a VW GTI and Scion tc 5.0 series. That scion is SLOW! hah my moms Tahoe beats it!

couple of questions:
1. How easy is it to install these? Will everything clear?
2. How much HP gain will i get off of these compared to my shorties
3. How much different will my car sound? Please give me great details on this question, BTW i have stock Cat-Back
4. Who else hates Hooker Shorties? (: haha

Hey quit whining about shorties, they have their place. You have to route your wires correctly. I ran them for years with not 1 burnt wire.

there is nothing wrong with shorties if you get them the right way (free) and if you route the wires correctly

well its gunna be a hell of a lot easier to install lts since your motor is already pulled, and a cutout should make any headers sound sexy

You just bought the mid lengths probably. I run the hooker super comps, 3600 degree jet hot coated inside and out with the factory routing and didnt burn one plug wire. Granted the jet hot coateing helps out a lot with outside temperatures. These were the bought from auto zone longer than needed OE replacement. The stock plugs are long gone now but it can be done with the hooker headers. It just takes time to make sure that you will not have an issue. Also running the heat sleeves does wonders when it comes to close wire. BTW i love my hookers. They brought my car to life and sound great.

1. you pulled the engine so it's "easier"
2. just a guess but 10-20, depending on your build
3. It will sound like it's fueled by dying babies through a stock catback
4. never BUY shorties hahaha
