The jegster is a totally different set up than UMIs. Wich is the only one Ive tried and was really pissed about spending 450 on it. I think Merv actually ripped his off the car, but i forget how.

Yeah true. I love how the Jegster is designed because it hugs the tunnel itself and you bolt it up at like 18 points I think. Car feels great when launching

Here.. Just so you get an idea (spiral flows). Cold startup, plus I think I'm way too close and this is cell phone quality. Not the best.

For a street strip car is an adjustable TA necessary, I have a Spohn tunnel mount but my 94Z came with a non adjustable UMI trans mount TA. I'm going to put 3" tds on the car and now I'm thinking about the UMI trans xmember which relocates the TA off of the tailshaft. This will give the clearance I need for the ture duals but will the car hook with this setup as well as or better than a tunnel mount TA at the track?

We were loading it on the Trailer and it caught on the edge and ripped it straight off.

This is the body modifications that I had to do to re-install it..

Drivers side..

Passengers side..

Underside of the Car..

I won't have the Tunnel Brace one any more..but them mounting points are there, and they are bullet-proof..lol

And I would have to give a +1 on the powerstick.
Another +1 on the powersticks! I have the identical torque arm he wants as well as a lakewood DSL. The UMI torque arm tucks up high enough that the duals will hit the floor board before they ever hit the TA if you run them down basically like an ORY so both pipes on the passenger side like you and I did. And if you put the x pipe directly under the Lakewood DSL you can tuck it right up in there and not have a cross member having to go underneath the pipes.

I think I'm going to run the Exhaust I have on it for now and once I get it running I may go to the Duals. I want to finish the setup I have on it and see how that is for a while..I haven't completed what I wanted to do with my current setup.

looks like you have pretty good ground clearance for being lowered. I bet you go slow over speed bumps.

Your pinion seal leaking?

Never mind the PM merv, I just answered my question. What made you want to change over to duals other than the great sound? Will the TA hit the x-pipe when you lift the car, or is there more clearance above the pipe than I can see from that first pic? How much closer to the ground does the exhaust sit?

I'm still debating it.. I guess it depends if I can sell my current setup..

I have a Magnaflow Muffler..the one for the F-body.. and a QTP 3.5" Electric Cutout Kit with a custom made 3"-4" Y-pipe..the Y-pipe mounts the Cut-out on it.

I'll have to post it up and see if anyone is interested.

I found this for the X-pipe setup..

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-642130/

With this and a couple of other parts I should be able to get it together fairly well.

Now I wish I went true duals, didn't know it was so much cheaper than a Y! Dammit!

But then I would have to kiss my chances of passing yearly inspection goodbye

Pretty much what I got except the driver side was useless (in the kit) and the exhaust shop had to custom make a pipe to clear the floorboard and BMR th350 crossmember (which sticks out further than the stock xmember). Total it cost me $300-/+ to fit this kit and weld it, and they included flanges/gaskets/bolts/hangers. Had I had a stock xmember and tranny, it would have been significantly less since they would have been able to use the entire x-pipe kit. I'll take some pics of my setup next time its on a lift, it's pretty sweet.

That right there is $100..I'm getting a couple of other pieces to help fit it, which will be another $40 for them. I'm getting them Flo Pros from the local shop here, they are charging $125 for them installed..so I figure with it welded on inplace it will be about $350..give/take a little bit.
