So we can bump the starter from under the hood to set valve lash.

Proven power from fastest LT1 guys out there. (and most of those are with the old style AFR''s) Imagine those same folks with the new style ones!

My new style 235's are about to be bolted to my engine.

I guess thats why you are ordering the ps/alt relocator kit so you can adjust the valves easier. Makes it a whole lot easier to pull the valve covers with all that sheyot outta the way. Looks like that kit bolts right up too. Let us know how that works out I might pull the trigger on one too.

So much better that I should just chunk my new 230 Trickflows? Not disagreeing. Just asking?

I know that your for the most part right. I still purchased my Trickflows. I got a good deal on them and I honestly think they are a great cylinder head.

Trickflow is a good cylinder head. I am not knocking them by any means. I am just stating AFR's are the better choice of heads out there. You will do fine with those Trickflows as many people have.

Thanks! I'm shooting for at least 450+ N/A and hopefully between 650-700 on spray. Considering the car had enough MPH to run low 10's before this build, it would be awesome to see this thing hit 9.90's after the suspension is setup. Keep your fingers crossed.

I may have to hire Tony or Taner to drive it down the track first, LOL.

I wont give you **** about it being a racecar til you take the 6 speed out and put a TH400 in it

Please dont do that think how much fun thats gonna be to drive around and row through the gears .

It may very well make those numbers and I hope it does. So if it's over 450, I'll be happy. If it's over 475 I'll be ecstatic!!

I will still guarantee that this car will see more street duty than at the track so the six speed will stay in it. I may not win all the races but it will be fun to drive.

*** UPDATE ***

Got some goodies over the past few days! The suspense of getting this combo together is killing me. In addition to all this stuff, I also got my Speed Inc Alt/PS relocation bracket last night too. I'll post up a pic of that later too. I have to say that Tony and the guys at AFR were a pleasure to deal with and answered all my questions when they came up. Top notch!! Thanks!

Next step is a trip to LE to get the valve spring shimmed for a little more seat pressure and then start assembly.

Also decided to go with some new valve covers for the AFR's. Bling!!

Since I didn't pony up for shaft mounts yet, I went with some stud girdles to keep the studs from flexing too much.

Lifters and cam.

I made a quick little comparison in Excel to see the difference in flow of the AFRs vs the ported 374 castings I had before. I think the graph speaks for itself. Nitrous is going to love the extra exhaust flow!

DAYYYYYYYYUUUUUUUUMMMMMM

My Trickflows have .306 INT at .600 lift
and .215 EXH at .600
Your right spray is gonna love those.
