you maybe right. i'll start at the regulator since its a cheaper & quicker fix then move over to the pump if the problem persists. it may be that there both acting up. the aeromotive regulator is about a year old and the pump was part of the racetronix kit and is around 2 years old.

is there a way to diagnose whether a fuel pump is bad as opposed to the regulator?

okay got my fuel pressure gauge installed. fuel pressure is steady so the regulator and pump are good. gotta keep looking for my issue.

i have to check again i tested it out on the highway and there wasnt too much room so i couldnt stare at the gauge. i didnt see any fluctuation though. i think it was at 38 which would be like 42 since my mechanical gauge shows roughly 4 psi higher. ill have to check it with a passenger next time so he can watch the gauge and i can watch the road. i do have a memory button on the gauge. i could just learn how it works and use that lol

hhaa lol that was funny but I do feel for ya man.......I wondering about the tune....who did it and what program is being used to do it. Also what WB02 system are you using? Also do you have access to one of those laser thermometer things or EGT probes? I'd be glad to help you out on this, I fought issues like this myself and they are no fun.

i do the tuning although ive had mail order tunes done (after datalogging and driving my tunes felt better and had no knock). im using an innovate wideband. usually spot on with the dyno wideband. yeah i have a laser thermometer but no EGT probes.

are you using LT1 edit? One thing I noticed you said is that you told it to target 11.77 and it was going into the low 13's AFR. This first off sounds like a problem in the VE table or the PE table. What is your VE at WOT in the table? Also what is your PE set to? Take some screen shots if you can. I'm thinking this could be in the tune. Next we will just start the car up and let it idle, check all the header tubes with the Laser thermometer and lets see what the temps are. Then hold the motor at like 3000 on the dyno under a load and lets re-take the temps. Another good idea would be to blast the car through 2nd or third gear and then immedialy shut it off. Pull all 8 plugs and lets see what they look like. You can't allways believe the WB02 espically when its measureing all 4 cylinders on one side at the same time in the collector. You could have a couple of cylinders screwed up and not even know about it.

Also thinking how about drivetrain slippage, could even be a converter or trans problem. Does it feel like it pulls really good in one gear as opposed to another? When my trans went 1st and 2nd still pulled great but third was toast. I went an 11.90 @ 109 with my last motor down from the usual 11.40 @ 121 but somehow still crossed the line at 7000 lol.

Okay I attached my VE and PE tables. I'll let you know plug 7 has gas on it but the cylinder passes leakdown tests.
