My buddy put headers on his 1997 LT1, now the car won't start. First problem was a bad opti harness (pulled off).

After doing the diagnosis (from shoebox) we ended up with a new:

Opti
Opti Harness
Coil
ICM

Still NO START. It has fuel but the ignition coil sends no spark. Tested the opti with the fuel injector pulsing ground method, it works.

Tested the opti wires (for hot, ground, etc...) all is well.

ICM has hot at pink, not at green... Should be the coil BUT...

WE TOOK THE FOLLOWING PARTS OFF HIS CAR AND THEY WORKED ON A FRIEND'S CAR...

PCM
ICM
COIL

This is really ridiculous... Any thoughts?

 

Maybe a crank sensor?

 

^^How would I test for that?

I'm thinking there is just something unplugged or a wire nicked somewhere but don't know what wires would do this (already traced coil and ICM wires back and they are fine)...
