Default local shops and exhaust

I am getting a camaro and have to run exhaust from the longtubes back. So why not go true duals instead of wasting money on y-pipe to a single right? every shop in town is telling me it cant be done. what gives. then the last place i went to said the single 3" will flow better than true dual 3"....

hes said i shouldnt go duals cause there is no point cause its not a race car...

its a 396 with a stock top end at the moment... going LE2 heads/cam package on it... now why wouldnt i want it going through duals?

oh ya... what are some good muffler options? flo-pros or something? havent ran duals on any of my camaro so the mufflers are going to be new to me

True Dual 3" will obviously outflow any catback or single 3". A 396 with LE2 heads/cam will definitely like true duals.

Any muffler shop that says true duals can't be done on a 4th gen, should not be touching your exhaust anyway.

people just bother me. single 3" out flow dual 3"... where in anyones mind can that be possible

Hey:

I would get in touch with wrd1972, and get a pick of his duals and take it to a shop and have them copy them, His are awesome looking maybe have both pipes over the top, they are 2.5 inch duals, THAT IS STILL 5" VS 3" OF FLOW
Where do you live?

Can't be done.

Seriously, im not sure if 3 inch can be done over the axle without heavy modification/heavy bottoming out. All I have seen have been 2.5 inch.

Also, the guy who did my exhaust was saying how it was impossible the entire time he was running it. Then when he was all done he never said anything, I found it funny.

I walked into an exhaust shop for 2.5" true duals today, first thing he asked, before I even said anything was...

"when are you going to let me do true duals are your car?!"

anyone have the part number for the single chamber flowmasters people run on their duals? i think im gonna order them

is it the 10 series delta flow race? its the only thing i see that looks like anyones on here! i just love the sound

ok after a little searching i am finding that those appear to be right. part # 9430109.. question i have is where it the best place to buy them? they are roughly 90 apiece?? and on jegs and summit the pictures dont match what the part# pic on flowmaster shows.. think its just a wrong pic on their website? thanks guys!
